Nebraska hired Alberts in 2021. He fired Scott Frost. He hired Rhule. TAMU is buying out his contract that was $2M/yr and will be paying him $4M/yr.

Alberts is part of a law suit along with the university and the women’s basketball coach. It was brought by a former women’s basketball player who was involved with an assistant coach. She claims she was benched shortly after breaking off a relationship with an assistant coach
