The independent judges thought he was the best choice of the nominees by WHCA members for this award.

Not really, at least not what she seems to be implying.
Does she need someone to explain the nomination & judging process?
The White House has no input to or control over the WHCA, which is an independent organization established and managed by news people who cover the White House. Newspeople are more independent in their perogative than even Swill posters.

For the life of me, I don’t understand why these messages aren’t getting out to the general public
I have my suspicions about CNN right now. Trump and the RNC are broke. CNN gives him literally millions and millions of dollars of free publicity daily
The latest Poll also is confusing. If upwards of 97% of Americans that consider themselves, Democrats say they will vote for Biden, Is it possible that Trump could have a 49% to 43% lead?

Each party has about 30% of the population or so who claim to belong.
The people who are not strong party supporters are the ones whose votes decide elections. FWIW only about between 5% to 10% of the population really are independent, the rest of the independents "tend" to vote consistently year after year, for one of the two parties.
The Trump trials are a godsend for the MSM who can cover them as news without facing criterium of Trump coverage bias.
Re: Joe Biden is crushing it.
I'm willing to bet that we'll never see another presidential election in our life where the margin of victory is more than 5-8% of the popular vote.Trapper Gus wrote:DWags wrote:

the mainstream media, Russia, et al., has achieved their goal of dividing America to the point of social, ethical and moral gridlock. I'd say 5-10% of the electorate will decide which way the country turns for the foreseeable future, if not until American democracy ends altogether.

5% to 8% of the popular vote margin is considered a landslide election and has been most of my life.
Nixon won in 1972 with 60.7% of the popular vote and carried 49 states in the EC.
LBJ won in 1964 with 61.1% of the popular vote and carried 44 states in the EC.
Reagan won in 1984 with 58.8% of the popular vote and carried 49 states in the EC.

"Things were going on" before the Biden era, says Bill Baer, who was assistant attorney general in charge of the antitrust division from 2013 to 2016 and served at the FTC in the 1970s and 1990s. "But this administration has elevated it to a new level."

yep - and my point is, I don't think we'll ever live in a time where the presidential election results is anything more than 52-48... maybe 54-46 if one of the candidates is, like, a serial killer... though, depending on the party, that might not be a bad thing for him.Trapper Gus wrote:Robert J Sakimano wrote:I'm willing to bet that we'll never see another presidential election in our life where the margin of victory is more than 5-8% of the popular vote.

The numbers are correct FWIW.
Let me guess. You think if 20 million people left the work force in April and those 20 million went back to work in June, that you “created” 20 million jobs? This is why people call you a bootlicker and apologists, lol.
Biden gets credit for stabilizing post COVID and any job numbers that exceed pre pandemic level. And it ain’t 475k per month (Or 18,750,000 jobs in 39 months)

By your argument no President who has a recession and then a recovery creates any of those jobs, yet in the past it has been customary to use the number of jobs at the start of a President's term and at the end to measure jobs created. You are changing the rules to make an argument.
Here is a bit of counterpoint.
In the graph, below, the v-shaped job loss & recovery occurred during the Trump administration as a result of the state shutdowns & opening up during 2020.
When Biden took office that part of the job impact had already occurred, and the jobs lost directly due to shutdowns during the pandemic had been recovered.
The rest of the jobs lost were mostly due to businesses either being wiped up by the pandemic, as many small businesses were, or by very poor decisions made by corporations which left them in a poor position to take advantage of the economic recovery.
So, first, even during the 2020 job loss & recovery the economy was greatly cushioned by emergency acts of Congress, pushed and passed by Democratic leadership in Congress, with Republican support in Congress, and with Biden's jawboning & signed by Trump.
At the end of 2020 there was another Act pushed through by the Democratic Congress & then in March 2021 there was a third rather massive act passed. In some sense these were consensus actions, however, Trump and the Republican's held up the second one, which the Democratic Congress wanted, from July 2020 until December 2020 due to politics. It is reasonable to say that the 2020 election caused the December 2020 Act and definitely caused the 2021 Act.
Biden deserves some credit for the December Act & all the credit for the March Act.
The employment numbers came back because of these two acts, championed by the Democratics, including Biden.
Therefore, it is fair to credit Biden with the increases in employment starting at the beginning of his term, which, historically, is how we have always measured employment for a President.
It might be argued that these jobs would have come back anyway, however, without the Acts championed by the Democratics (& Biden is their leader), that is a questionable supposition.
Here is the employment chart:

Law of averages for ideas in one post, I suppose.
I'm mostly right in this one, there are arguments to be made against what I posted but you are not making any.
I'm make is simpler then.
Just like every other President Biden gets credit for the number of jobs now minus the number of jobs at the beginning of his term.
Anyone saying otherwise is lying.
Re: Joe Biden is crushing it.
You don’t turn off 20 million jobs then get credit for (as your meme says) “creating” 20 million when they’re turned back on.

What number would you credit Biden for? Trump floats crap all the time like COVID never happened. I would say creating 20 million for Biden is a little overly dramatic but it takes recovery to do that and he did in fact recover the economy. Trump is running around pretending that we are in economic flames, which ironically would be the fire he started, pretending like recovery never happened. Well it did happen and that is a good thing for us all even though many like to pretend it didn't for partisan reasons

It is, but like it or not that is a metric many many people use, especially trump, if he could. It's only not being used as much because his numbers are horrible but I'd bet he would say otherwise.

I said he should get credit for the recovery. As far as job “creation” goes anything over April 2020 numbers is his to claim, IMHO. So like 3-5 million? Which is a good number. Especially considering the economy need to get its feet under itself, inflation, interest rates, etc.
. If we’re being objective here Trump “created” like 7 million? It was a good four years for job growth. Sure he blew it with Covid and shit. But to sit here and act like Biden tripled that is disingenuous. He helped in the “recovery” of job growth. “Creation” is a different story.

Yes you do.
Kingstonelake chose that date.
I think that Febuary 1st 2021 and, as of today, 37 months makes more sense.
February 1st 2021: 150,140,000
April 1st, 2024: 161,491,000
11,351,000 jobs added divided by 37
306,784 per month. Still the highest of the Presidents listed.
No idea the data the White House chose.

Whatever I’ve moved on. I’ll let you champion Biden “creating” 7 billion jobs.
Think I’ll buy the Yankees and sit Stanton and Judges 100 home runs this year. Next year when I put them back in the lineup and they hit 120 home runs I’ll claim I’m a great owner and created 120 home runs from scratch.
