Let’s find some OL starting in the playoffs then go after them haarrd! It starts with a solid, healthy, experienced line.

What I like about Smith is that he gets this, entirely.
Now if he can turn his vision into reality?

They did it to FSU.

No denying Oregon is good.
Wish they hadn't officially joined the Big Ten until next year.

But remember the committee told us last year that the QB injury to FSU played a factor in keeping them out. I’m sure they’ll be consistent and keep Georgia out now.

Yeah. I don’t think playing Clemson close is a big accomplishment. She has SMU playing at Texas. I’d rather see Bama at Texas. I’d guess the networks want that as well.Robert J Sakimano wrote:she's bright and has some great insight, but I'd be surprised of Alabama gets left out.NigelUno wrote:

They can’t. Georgia won the SEC. Maybe the bye will help Beck recover.

God I hope Michigan draws South Carolina. They will get their shit pushed in.
They'll probably draw Missouri in a snooze fest.

SMU @ #12 is a mark that a football program get get real good real fast when your donor base is robust and the questions aren’t how much for who but when do you need it.
Alabama was too happy about beating Georgia the week before when they got beat by Vanderbilt. Tennessee is a solid team but losing to OU and looking awful in the process sealed their fate.
No 3 loss team should be in a 12 team format unless like Clemson, they win their conference championship and think putting in a 3 loss team in a field of 16 is questionable as well.

A couple of big coaching moves today. Rich Rod back to WVU seems long overdue. He's their Bill Snyder. I did not see Belicheck coming.

I listened to Belichick before he was offered the job. He was really blunt.. He said he would turn North Carolina into a minor league NFL franchise.. where he would prepare players to go to the NFL and that’s it. He’s going to pull the rug out from the phony. Let’s get a degree and all our university is so great for education type thing. . He wants to hire people that are gonna find players that just want to get to the NFL and specifically work them through nutrition, workouts, etc. to be ready.
Let’s face it private equity firms are going to be buying 51% of these teams within five years. North Carolina is just gonna be cutting edge.. it’s gonna be interesting to see the players that go there right now from the portal. I don’t think this is gonna be a middle of the road choice.. he’s either going to succeed immensely, or fail miserably. I’m really interested in portal transfers to North Carolina.

He is definitely going to draw kids. NFL legend. Kids want to play in the NFL. He's also a really really good coach. Herm Edwards tried this approach. Mack Brown tried this approach. Deon is basically trying this approach (but Deon only cares about Deon IMO). But none of these dudes are Belicheck and NIL is an ever changing landscape. He has potential to pull it off. Mack was close. He had some studs, but could never figure out the defense.
As you said this has a wide range of potential from Natty to flame out. I love it and I'll be rooting against him, just because.

I'm so old I remember when US Military officers and service academy cadets weren't allowed to have tattoos visible when wearing any issued uniforms. That included short sleeves, military issued swim wear or issued uniform tropical shorts.

Just when you thought that college athletes have unlimited power over schools and the NCAA, the courts hand them more power.
Wow.

Well, somehow my kid who did a year at LCC before CMU will still take 6 years to get his undergrad... so CCs != Universities???

It takes planning by the student & coordination between the CC & the university in question.
Back in the day the Washtenaw CC worked with UofM so that some of their credits were accepted.
Re: 2024 General College Football Thread
I don't know about WCC or LCC, but there are a lot of kids from all around Florida that go away to college to Tallahassee Community College and Santa Fe College in Gainesville, to eventually transfer to FSU and UF. Of course a good number of those do it just to live near the major universities and take advantage of that social scene.Trapper Gus wrote:AvgMSUJoe wrote:

Last games at a stadium. Don’t think they’re just for the football players. Seniors on the staff, graduate assistance, helping the football staff in the medical staff, cheerleaders, dance team members, support staff in the football band members.
I love this persons passion.

This post, however, has nothing to do with giving away a home game. It’s a cool shot of how last games affect people. Even those that aren’t players.
I’m going to concede giving our after thanksgiving game away and paying the fords to host us, so we can take that off the table, and the point of last games won’t be missed.
Nevermind something Hauser Kim east Carolina.
