Indeed, I did "borrow" glassware from the stockroom and distill drowned spiders in alcohol that was not appropriate. In fact, it was wrong. It constituted a critical lapse in judgment and a personal failure on my part for which I am solely and completely responsible.

We climbed up into the ceiling and were walking along the top part of the walls from classroom to classroom (mind you, it was dark, we couldn't really see anything and we were above the tile ceiling).

I made a slight misstep and disappeared into a dark classroom below, hitting a piano on the way down. My buddy is yelling "dude, where the fuck did you go?" - I'm laying in the dark, experiencing a certain degree of discomfort associated with falling about 10 feet onto a piano and then rolling off of it, onto the floor.

he found me, we made out way out of the school. It was quite the scandal for a while - what the heck happened to the ceiling in the band room and why is the piano out of tune?

I got through pretty unscathed other than a limp for a week or so.

2. in undergrad, I got two MIP's in the same night. I figured after the first one, my chances of getting a second one was statistically slim. So, about 45 mins after getting rung up for chugging an Old Milwaukee while walking down the sidewalk, I found myself in an apartment parking lot, standing around chugging an Old Milwaukee. Problem was, the Thin Blue Line of the Boone, NC police dept found me there, too.

I got a little mouthy (imagine that) when they found out I had been issued one MIP about 45 mins earlier. Upon asking me why I didn't go home after the first one, according to my buddy, I proclaimed that "Mamma didn't raise no quitter".

3. Same damn semester, if you can believe that - got busted with a fake ID at Duke University while me and some buddies were pre-gaming (or attempting to pre-game) for an REM concert. Those cops weren't quite as lenient or understanding as the ones in Boone - they cuffed me, threw me in the back of a police car (there were a few other factors involved).

Ended up with a court date, pleading guilty to a few relatively minor things.

Later that semester, I met who would turn out to be my wife - she cleaned me up some, got me walking the line and helped cultivate the fine man you see before you today. Charming to an alarming degree, educated at some of the finer state institutions within certain area codes and a wit matched only by my dastardly good looks.

I've said before that I'd like to see candidates get some cabinet level positions lined up before the election and for them to make them public.  Give candidates a chance to show what their team looks like.  Especially against Trump; make him show what his cabinet will look like... a bunch of sycophants this time around.

Give Pete a promotion to Secretary of State or something.  Show who you aren't by getting Kinzinger into Veteran's Affairs.  Shit like that.
