I think I was making $14 bucks an hour. In the early 80’s that was a lot. I had to go into the MSU chicken coops and clean them. Man it was hot and the odor took a while to get used to. Cement floors with a huge drain in the middle. Shovel as much out as you could then turn spickets on and wet the rest. Then squeegy the muck down the drain.

Took about an hour each coop. Probably six a day.

Ugh. Yeah chx poop smells! We passed a chx farm on the way home on the bus everyday. If the wind was right…. Ouch.

I’d ride my bike through the woods to the farm after school. Clean the stalls drive the tractor to the back of the farm and dump the trailer. Shovel the saw dust in the stalls, feed em, water em, let them back into the stalls. Clean hooves. They hired me because when I was the paper boy and over the course of the a year I was able to approach their German Shepard and pet him when no one else was able to. I guess they’d been watching me lol.

Since Penn will not provide an answer to the question of if AOC called for the Director's resignation I did some investigation and found no evidence she did. The committees chair & ranking member did, but there is no direct link to AOC starting that request.

A double Bachlors degree in economics & foreign relations is a reasonable knowledge base for Congress, plus of course running a grass roots campaign to unseat  a long time Congresspeeson counts, too.

Edit - she was an intern on Senator Edward Kennedy's staff during her collage years, also.

Six years of experience as a Congress person is further qualification, and she has demonstrated a natural flare for the position, both in the poetry of gaining public support and the prose of asking relevant questions in her day to day prose.
