If I want to listen to the same music over and over I have an old fashioned stereo at home. I even have a turntable and some vintage vinyl. My point is I like variety. If I’m in Boston I want to hear that DJ, his accent, and his point of view. And yes I have Bluetooth and a variety of other options.

As you said, the debate is hosted by ABC. You don’t see Tik Tok, Twitter, or other platforms hosting these major events. They just pay to get the feed. The reality is MSM has the money and staffing to do it. The next time there is an occurrence like January 6, notice who arrives first and reports. It isn’t Facebook or YouTube.

I’m suggesting that without MSM we’re screwed. They provide most of the coverage, reporting and cameras. The internet sites just don’t have that stuff. They rely on MSM to supply them with the material. When a war breaks out on the other side of the world, it’s the MSM that gets there and provides the coverage. The internet sites just latch on for the ride.

I said “tv will eventually go the way of radio.” I could have said “tv will eventually go the way of telegrams” or “tv will eventually go the way of horse drawn carriages” but I didn’t because it’ll still exist but be a shell of its former self, like radio.

Infrastructure?  For high school games?  You need a phone (and maybe strong wifi).  High school football and basketball games are live streamed through (mostly) subscription networks all across the country.  Radio isn't doing that.

I listen to a lot of sports on the radio.  Football, basketball, and baseball.  College and pro.  They pretty much all originate from radio crew broadcasts, even if they are streamed over the internet or SiriusXM.  It’s because radio stations are local they can do that.  If radio died, I don’t know who would cover all of these game, and even high school games.  Would take a major effort because radio stations have the infrastructure.
