Was it here or somewhere else I read a prominent journalist interviewing Trumpers at a rally always gets them to stop dead in their tracks when he asks a follow up question to "Why are you voting for Trump?" He says they pretty much all say "It's the economy, it was better for me under Trump". But when he asks the follow up question of "Can you name one Trump policy that helped you out between 2016 and 2020:?", not one person can.

Im absolutely convinced that 75% or more of Trump voters are just racists, sexist, misogynistic assholes. They hate Government because they don't see how it helps them, they only seem to think it's being abused by people less fortunate than them.

They are able to use terms like "Border security" but they can't tell you how any illegal migrant has effected their lives. Guess I’m confuse by the thought of renewed vigor in the democrat ticket. Instead of building on that momentum and seizing the moment she’s sitting on stage with Liz Cheney.

Running for office is very very much like warfare. You got that right. I tend to agree that it's a mistake but it's only a mistake if she is actually in a election toss up situation. If she's well ahead, then it's smart.

Running for office is very very much like warfare. You got that right. I tend to agree that it's a mistake but it's only a mistake if she is actually in an election toss up situation. If she's well ahead, then it's smart.

Trumps campaign is very very simple.

It thrives on 2 things, word association and aggression or negativity.

There are signs and ads everywhere that are simple and just associate kamala's name with higher prices and trumps with lower prices. Like literally:

Harris: high prices
-----------------------------
Trump: low prices

And ads are even more outrageous with how they edit to associate Harris with whatever they please, Medicare for illegals, tax dollars for transgender inmates, etc

The other half is aggression/negativity and some association just saying that everything about Kamala and what she has done is bad and will lead to a destroyed nation, everything trump is for is good. Being as negative as possible about everything Harris to instill fear.

You can't spend time countering every lie, how do you fight that when people are dumb enough to be manipulated by it? Do you copy the tactic and negatively recruit from his supporters? Its a cult, it wouldn't work. You almost would need an Obama type to rally everyone with buzz if you want to effectively campaign using actual policy and positivity.

I'd guess N. Carolina is like Georgia (maybe all states are like this...no idea)...I had to fill out a sheet with name, address, birthday...then someone visually checked that with my driver's license...then I went to another line where someone ran that through a computer while again checking my driver's license (I think using the bar code on the back). Then I got the little green card to put in the voting machine.

Last time I voted in person, 2018 I think, at my precient in Michigan, you filled out a slip with your name, Street address, and signed it; they checked you off with an ID at their computer and handed you the ballot.
