Trump Putin. Why is the right so stubborn or blind to this?

I’d be surprised if he hadn’t. The Logan Act is a joke and Merrill Garland couldn’t care less. At this point I’m glad he’s not a Supreme Court justice.

For laws to be effective people have to voluntarily follow them. Ever since Nixon torpedoed the Vietnam Peace Talks during the 1968 election the Republicans have ignored the Logan Act.

republicans/libertarians support their christian hero because they hate the same things: women, brown people, America and the Constitution.

they (republicans/libertarians) know nothing about Putin. They only know that their christian hero loves him and that he is the enemy of democracy and wants to see America fail, hence their unwavering support.

the whole MAGA movement is much more simple than the mainstream media tries to make you believe.

think about it like this:

republicans/libertarians want you to believe they are the party of "law and order" - and their nominee has been convicted of 34 felonies.

republicans/libertarians want you to believe that Kamala Harris is "soft on crime" and she spent a career as a prosecutor putting people like the republican/libertarian nominee in prison.

in general, life is pretty simple when you just step back and look at things with logic and reason.

This article about a meeting between a Jen Golbeck, a PhD who interviewed Trump supporters at 2024 rallies and a MAGA poster on Twitter X does a lot to explain blind loyalty.

His answers show regardless of what Trump says or does the MAGA followers have concocted a reason and/or justification for everything.

Reading her article, I see no common ground, and that reason and truth are not what is causing the beliefs of the Trumpers.

Focusing on goals, the effects, not the cause, might make more sense.

imagine what the racist, bigoted, christian sexual predator, convicted rapist and convicted felon said to Putin on these calls, under blackmail of what they currently have on him (little girls, etc), and now imagine the levels of blackmail they now have because of these calls.
