I won't vote for a Republican until they move on from the shit stain that they've been forcing on us the past 8 years.  

I only vote republican for the University of Michigan board.  I would consider it for MSU board depending on who's running if we need to clean house or something.

Yup, if we screw the people in Ann arbor though, they have the clout to become a seed for actual change.  It might be far in the future but there's a little strategy here. Its a win win as far as I'm concerned

My daughter is doing the morning shift outside a polling place today on behalf of the UMiami Dems group, handing out little Democrat Voting Guides.

My god, the cranky old people that she's already encountered.  One old couple told them that they should be scared of sex changes.  lol, wut?  I told her she should have told them that she's had 3 sex changes already, because each school she went to from K through 12th grade forced one on her.

Another said Kamala is the most murderous person in the world.  Others saying that they should be ashamed of themselves, etc.

I want her to tell someone that she hopes God forgives them for hating His children.

But in reality, she's just throwing kindness back at them, thanking them for voting and wishing them a great day.  She's a better person than I am.

So, a little update.  My daughter was out there from 7am till 10:30am, then had to go to class.  This polling place was at a church next to campus.  There's also a polling site at the basketball arena on campus.  At about 11:30am, the UMiami Dem group pulled their people from the church because they were getting harassed too much, and are telling them to go to the arena instead. I'm glad my daughter was done with her shift. Sounds like it got a lot worse than the handful of cranky old fuckers that she encountered earlier.

Apparently, the church, a state-sanctioned polling place, was holding services to "pray for the unborn", and this was draw a lot of people that weren't even voting, but were going there and were hostile to the idea of having a couple of 18-20 year old kids sitting next to some signs for Democratic candidates.  To give some added context, there is a measure on Florida's ballot to overturn the state's 6 week abortion ban.

The group is filing a complaint with the police and election boards.  Not that I expect anything to happen, and if so, it will be after the election, so nothing really happens.

you are seriously over-estimating people on a topic that comes up in a person's life but once every couple years at most, most likely every 4 years, and referencing mostly first time voters. A gambit like that could EASILY dissuade a lot of college students in a vacuum. Thankfully, i would bet there were more than a couple outspoken that knew the rules and followed around informing everyone of the real rules so the traitor probably only got a handful to leave in the beginning.
