Yup, I lived right next to the Clearwater health spa right behind Dooleys. Off the top of my head I think that was 144 Linden. Kitty corner from the police station. The infamous house that stole the bar from Dooleys, while Duffy was the manager there. We kept that bar for three years

Yup, 82. We live two blocks from each other We had Keggers at our house frequently. Sometimes the overflow would be in the front yard. At one particular party, the police came over and grabbed everybody that was on the sidewalk and gave them an Open intoxicant ticket. Those standing on the yard were spared

They still do that. Or at least 4-5 years ago. Had a buddy who went to his kid's house on a football Saturday and got popped for having a beer on the sidewalk.

Our house in 1982. This was right next to the spa and right behind Dooleys. Me in front with the beer in my left hand. My 8 year girlfriend to the right. Guy on the left is a great friend who also just retired and is seeing the country on his Harley. Guy next to him just died two summers ago. Iwas at his bedside a couple of hours before he did. So many other people in here that I absolutely love. Guy with the booty shourts on is a big insurance guy in Nebraska, grew up with him in Manistee. Wow, this was 42 years ago 40 lbs ago, brown hair is pure white, Where did the time go?

I don’t know why it does that sometimes. The thumbnail pic was right side up when I pushed to upload and it still came out sideways.
Next time I’ll turn my camera sideways and see if it comes out right side up.

So I was going to point out that there are two guys with beer in their left hand. I retracted my comment when I re-read that D Wags said he was the one in front. Pornstache is technically in front of the other guy. Now though, from D Wags subsequent comment, I would have been correct after all.

I remember watching it get built and thinking how cool the apartments above would be to live in. Then I considered all the noise coming from the hot tubs and changed my mind.

I was just 21. She was 18 her freshman year. We gave no shits about that back in 82.

Funny thing is, wife and her became good friends. One time at the Manistee beer tent they were both pointing at me and laughing. You have no idea how bad that made me feel. I have no doubt to this day they were talking about my size and how bad I was in bed. Totally depressed me. When I ask my wife to this day she says “Jesus, it was nothing”.

Concur with the Clear Water Spa being um, not exactly clear water. I never took the plunge because I knew people that worked there. The reports of cleaning those tubs were disturbing. ( think 80's bush)
