I will still suggest that Israel & the US are more in step than we realize, just that it is a brutal way to take down what are common enemies, one which the US cannot publicly agree with.

He did an outstanding job at the start of Russia's further invasion of Ukraine; critics say he has been too slow to allow more advanced weapon use.

He did rebuild NATO and establish a Asian group with the US at the center to counter China.

In some respects he looks good only because Trump was so bad.

That’s not really the way it works, though.

If anyone is at fault it’s Jill Biden. She knew Joe had gone full pudding for brains but let him run anyway. She needed to tell him to step down.

There are some very wealthy people who didn't want Biden for a second term because he had gone populist in econmic policies and they like the low taxes. Yes the debate gave them the excuse, but they had been fighting against him with negative MSM articles since he was elected.

The way it works is you have primaries (which Dems did). The winner of those primaries is the nominee (which Biden was). If democrats wanted someone else they should have suggested someone else run and then voted for that person (they didn’t). This was a colossal failure of everyone except Joe and Jill Biden.

Pardons are misused. If there was egregious errors in a case, do so. But there should be rules about this stuff. If you or I did the same thing Hunter did, we wouldn’t rate a pardon, so the officer of the president is telling the American people we are t all equal.

Had he been a “normal” citizen he wouldn’t have been raked through the coals the way he was. His pardon is warranted because he was treated the way he was because he is the son of the president. Regardless of guilt or egregious errors.

I don't think it really matters vis a vis Hunter, but fuck corruption on either side. Lock up Hunter, lock up Kushner, lock up Pelosi and all the other inside traders, I'm all for consequences for the political elites. Insofar as this pardon represents a circumvention of said consequences, I oppose it. But expecting Democrats to actually be substantively better than the Republicans when the chips are down is a recipe for disappointment.

His life would have been very different had he been a "normal citizen." He benefitted handsomely from not being such, but he has been shielded from the negatives.
