Detroit man ordered to pay $30k in child support

For child that isn't his. Honestly, how did US family courts get this messed up? On top of things, the kid must be in its 20s now(and may have kids of his/her own).

Honestly, I bet as soon as it gets to a male judge it will be overturned.

Uhhhhh, it says he signed an affidavit of parentage, which is a legal acknowledgement that he is the father, and then appeared in Court a dozen times, and never took any action to dispute that he is the father. And the outrage is because of what exactly?

EDIT: This is the pertinent point for me:

"The real father has been in the life of the now adult child, unlike Carnell."

The real father should pay, not this dude.

Carnell is the real father. He signed the affidavit taking ownership. There was never a DNA test.

The mom lied and said he was the father. Then the process server falsified his signature while he was in jail.
