This is probably going to come off as a little too serious for this board, but about a month or two ago I asked LWS to stop using the R word. I asked if he could get more creative with his insults, and I don't think I've seen him use the term since. Thank you for doing that LWS, I do notice and I do appreciate it.

I'm not asking anyone to change their posting styles or how they go about insulting other people, I usually don't care. I am making this one request though, maybe out of respect for my son, not necessarily for me. Instead of calling someone retarded, maybe try to be a little differently creatively with the insults. I'm not going to call anyone out specifically, just thought maybe I'd try to do something to make a small change. Again, its the internet and anything goes, just a request if possible.

I completely expect the first reply to say something like: That's retarded.

Um...yes

I've always taken a lot of crap on the other board for removing that word and even banning people that refused to stop using it. I correct family members that use it as well. It's really not a nice word to use.

I had a Snarky reply but am editing it.

Calling something the "r" word or the "n" word is kind of ridiculous and just gives retard or nigger more power than they deserve.
