Some of the pictures online recently are very interesting. I'll look for some of the collections and link them.

I grew up next to a man that had been mustered out of WWI with trench foot, I'll never forget the stories he told us kids.

Yup, I love his Hardcore History podcast, been subscribing to it for years. Haven't gotten a chance to listen to the latest that came out last week yet, but will soon.

It's on iTunes and other podcast software. He also does a current events/political podcast called Common Sense, but Hardcore History is the history one. I've never listened to the Common Sense one, but am a big fan of Hardcore History (and I'm not a big podcast listener).

They only come out every 2-3 months because he does so much reading/researching, but it's a great product in the end. Lately he's been going on for 3-4 hours each podcast or more, and just came out with part 5 of his WWI series. He did a 4-5 part series on the Roman Empire, a 4-5 part series on the Khans, a 3 part series on the WWII Eastern Front, plus a lot of stand alone or 1-2 part podcasts. He's not a historian, but calls himself a "fan of history", which is a good way to describe myself, so maybe that's why Harcore History clicks with me.

i agree. maybe it's a good thing he's not a historian because he can actually make a semi dry subject very interesting.
