I don't recall said manifesto or LG losing his mind. WOP threatened him because he didn't like being challenged. LG's response pushed WOP's button and he pulled the trigger. Complete bitch move. WOP knew it and disappeared for months out of embarrassment. WOP should not be a mod in this forum. He's too politically charged and loose cannon...a socialist that doesn't even know it. Florida-based private equity firm Hoffmann Marine, which bought Mackinac Island Ferry Co. and its Star Line Hydro-jet ferry fleet in late June, says it will invest $4 million in repairs to MIFC’s fleet, including new engines, shafts, bearings and other parts.

Hoffman also owns Shepler’s, which it bought in 2022. The firm now has 46 vessels in seven states, and also owns newspapers on Mackinac Island and in St. Ignace

The Hoffman Group has bought both The St Ignace News which covers St Ignace and Mackinac City and The Mackinac Island Town Crier in 2023 effectively controlling local news reporting that could be troubling for the company.

For example the group is now the 2nd largest land holder of undeveloped land around St Ignace. Without a local reporter they can bury their purchases in The Legal News and the next thing other land holders know they are surround by Hoffman Group holdings.
