If by a few years ago you mean 10 years ago and by 'let him win' you means Huges totally dominated him and TKOed him in the first round then yes

Crazy things is it was almost a title fight.  It wasn't because they had to fight at Catchweight but Hughes did have the belt at the time.

For some reason I got the impression it was like an "exhibition" match of some kind, a legacy match. I just remember thinking "geez, Matt Hughes isn't pounding this guys head into the mat" and seemed bashful for even winning.

I'm remembering some weird version that worked for me but was nowhere close to reality.

Didn't watch either of the fights tonight, btw.  Love MMA, but I know a stupid circus side show when I hear of it.  Sounds like both turned out to be exactly that.
