I read earlier today from Rico that this is potentially indeed turning into a Malik situation.

Kid really wants to be at MSU.

Mom does not want him at MSU for whatever reason. Lots of speculation as as to why that might be - gf, Detroit friends, etc. No one seems to know but that's the scoop.

Nothing appears to be imminent. His gf says he is making a decision next week during the McDs.

Morbid curiosity causes me to log in to the spartymag boards a few times every day using a buddies login.

I think he said he was making a decision in late March (which would coincide with the McD's game). I'll have my people check it out when they're there.
