I'm guessing the NCAA feared a national camp war. SEC country isn't the only region with HS football talent. You got PA, OH, CA, TX, NJ etc. This could've gotten out of control fast.

The Big Ten was the only Power 5 conference that was in favor of satellite camps, a source told ESPN.

The SEC, ACC, Pac-12 and Big 12 conferences all voted to end satellite camps, a source said. Among the Group of 5 conferences, the Sun Belt and Mountain West voted against the satellite camps, while the Mid-American, Conference USA and American were in favor of continuing the camps.

The vote to prohibit satellite camps was passed by a 10-5 margin. Each Power 5 conference vote counts as two votes, while each Group of 5 conference vote counts for one vote for a maximum of 15 votes.

So basically, the midwest knows that there is a talent gap and wants to go tour the rest of the country. The rest of the country wants to protect its talent and gives a middle finger to the midwest.

I only take everything at face value and never pay any attention to nuance. Also, if a known troll says something stupid, I take that at face value and then go on the offensive if anyone questions what they are saying.

Pretty much. Kids go camping all summer. Most of the kids around here will hit up Georgia, Bama, Auburn, Clemson, Tennessee, etc. because they're within driving distance. A few go to camps up north, but not many.

Did Jeem even land any recruits from the camps?

Seems like he was just getting off on trolling the SEC. How many other coaches from the b10 wanted to do these camps? I'm betting not many. Seems like a ton of work.

Nah, NCAA is a joke and didn't need to ban sat camps. In all honesty, it hurts the kids. Arjen just said on twitter if it weren't for him being able to workout in front of Nardog at SMSB than he wouldn't have likely played D1.

And it also really hurts the smaller schools. Really no reason to do this other than the SEC and some ACC schools getting their panties in a bunch because most of the talent resides in the SE and they want to keep kids locally.
