Yeah, says he's signing with an agent.
Hurts the team next year big time but I think it was the smart decision.

He lacks physical and mental toughness, so bad move.
As for the meltdown, not sure that's necessary but it does seem like Izzo is destined to come up one man short in his quest for a 2nd NC.

So, Schilling really needs to step up. Isn't one of the frosh a big man? Maybe that loss to MTSU really pulled the team apart. I hope Tum Tum's got that leadership ability, but him and Clark were close, so I wonder how his departure is affecting things.

There is probably some truth to that. Granted it started with izzo saying he didn't make any mistakes....tough to stomach when the head coach flat out refuses to take responsibility

All things in Blanch's head are true... you know that.
Clark was not the answer to DD leaving. Clark is 6-6 with lifts in his shoes.

To stir shit.
To prove his lack of knowledge.
Both of the above.

Re: Where is the meltdown?
Izzo is pretty consistent with his coaching. He said he wouldn't change how they played the game and that MTSU played brilliantly. I'm pretty sure that Izzo believes in the law of averages, and if a team averages 30% from 3pt land, or a FT shooter is a 50% shooter, that by the end of the game that is roughly what will be shot. I've never really seen him adjust, even when a team comes out hot hitting 3 pointers, because over time, its probably been shown that 95% of the time a team will play to their average. IOW, any team that hits 20-30% better than their average, is probably going to win 95% of the time. I don't know what any of that means, but you interpret things differently.Blanch32 wrote:InTenSity wrote:So, Schilling really needs to step up. Isn't one of the frosh a big man? Good for him - he's gonna get paid to play hoops.
I never blame a kid for going pro it's the right move (1st Rd NBA or 1-3 rounds NFL).

So according to Blanch because they're both 6'6" Green and Clark are similar players.
I'm 6'3" does that make me Stephen Curry?

At the end of this year he was doing much better about not fouling within the first 15 seconds of being out there. I thought it was different, maybe I was watching the wrong guy though.Vlad wrote:InTenSity wrote:So, Schilling really needs to step up. Isn't one of the frosh a big man? Get ready for small ball next year and this to be one of Izzo's worst rebounding teams ever.
This team needs to run run and run some more.

Blanche, let me help out the GSM dumbos that don't get the correlation...
One had an incredibly high basketball IQ, could play all 5 positions if needed, deadly passer and great defender.
The other...well...he hit some outside shots on occasion.
See... the same right?

Re: Where is the meltdown?
I haven't seen him play. I also don't recall any big man coming in and playing for Izzo that got a ton of minutes. Still, that's only 2 big men. Next year is going to be interesting, I really hope that we play good small ball. Not sure if we'll have the shooters.NigelUno wrote:InTenSity wrote:So, Schilling really needs to step up. Can't wait to see Clark in the 2020 NBA All-Star game. It's a shame Izzo ran him off. We could of used a 6' 4 3/4" center now that DD is gone.
