I heard that a couple of days ago. I didn't read the article, but I'll assume it mentions that they are going to sue the guy.

They would have got a lot more money, had he been the first pick. This might be entertaining..

My guess is that this financial adviser may have some shallow pockets if this is how he deals with his former clients.

I don't really follow it either, but a cursory glance and paying a tiny bit of attention here and there. Each pick is capped, so #1 can only sign for X amount of $$ now, #2 is less than #1, and so on and so forth. Apparently the difference between #3 or 4 and #13 or wherever he went is about $8 million between caps.gHost Spartan wrote:I don't follow the NFL (or the draft) so how exactly does dropping to #13 impact the salary? The newspapers said he lost $8 million - how does that work? Is there guaranteed money for being a Top 10 pick?DWags wrote:

You don't follow the draft, but you read newspapers about the draft?

Not sure it really matters when he was drafted, he sounds like the type that will spend/lose every dime anyway, but....

I suppose it makes sense that a 20 year old needs a financial adviser when they play at Ole Miss.

Or when you're projected to be making millions and your best friend wants to advise you how he'll spend your money.By-Tor wrote:I suppose it makes sense that a 20 year old needs a financial adviser when they play at Ole Miss.
