Gotta love Nathan though. He's one of the top 10 closers in the game right now. The starters can get us through to the 7th usually and he gets us through the 9th. Just have to use the rest of the guys to get us through a few innings or less. and Ausmus switches them up frequently so it seems to be working.

Last years BP and d probably would have given up runs late in the game.

Definitely don't miss the days of Papa Grande needing a Houdini act after loading the bases in most appearances .

Looking at the scoreboard and there were six shutouts yesterday. Maybe it happens more often than I notice but that seems like a lot for a single day.

Only once before in the history of ever have 6 or more road teams pitched shut outs on the same day. There were 7 one day in the 70s once or something like that.

I know its only mid-May but the AL is lookin like a hot mess right now outside of about 3-4 teams.

Reuters) - A 22-year-old woman attending a baseball game at Boston's Fenway Park was injured on Friday night when elevator doors opened unexpectedly and she fell two floors down an empty shaft, officials said.

The woman was at the fourth-floor level of the 102-year-old stadium and fell onto the roof of the elevator car at the second floor after a game between the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers, Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald said.

Firefighters shut off power to the elevator and used a chair to climb through a hatch onto the roof of the elevator car to rescue the unconscious woman, MacDonald said.

I heard on the news earlier that an average of two dozen people in the U.S. die from elevator shaft falls every year.
