Brown indicted on corruption charges, officials say

WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown has been indicted on public corruption charges and is expected to arraigned in federal court in Jacksonville on Friday, two U.S. law enforcement officials said Thursday.

The charges are related to the Jacksonville Democratic lawmaker's involvement with an unregistered charity in Virginia.

The officials, citing grand jury secrecy rules because the indictment remains sealed, declined to provide the exact nature of the charges.

In March, the U.S. House Committee on Ethics said it had opened an investigation of Brown, just weeks after the director of a charity with ties to her pleaded guilty to fraud and agreed to cooperate with federal prosecutors.

I don't know. Just the way his post was equivocating HRC to the Florida Congresswoman appeared to miss some important differences. It's the kind of statement I have heard from people who still believe the Vince Foster rumors.

No, do you?

Never did think it was a murder.

However I had a lot more questions on the identity and motives  of the person who killed Chandra Levy, an intern who worked for former Congressman Gary Condit (D) CA.  

Turned out she was killed by a person with no connection to Condit or his office but once the affair between Condit and his intern was exposed after her death the optics were awful.  

Lesson should be don't have affairs with co-workers or interns.  Second part is if something awful happens to them you will be a suspect right away. That also applies to Bill Clinton and he should be damned happy Ms Lewinski has had nothing happen to her after Linda Tripp outed her.

Apparently, out of the $800,000 raised only $1,200 was used for educational purposes.

The soon to be former Congresswoman got greedy and wasn't too bright. If you want to make more money than your Cngressional salary a sitting congress member has everything from speaking fees, honorariums and investment opportunities most folks never see.

Same party, endorsed Hills. Haven't seen Hills issue a statement though I imagine with the Clinton Global thing she'd want to be careful with any statement.

Clinton Foundation has filed their non profit papers and the Clintons have been making their tax returns available for nearly 3 decades. Because Trump refuses does that make every GOP candidate a crook?

For example Trump brags about the success of his golf course in Scotland in the US but tells the Scots its a loser. Does that mean every GOP candidate for office keeps two sets of books?
