Thinking about getting a Chromebook, what do you guys think of em? I've never used the Chrome OS, what's it like?

Works fine for me. Gets updated automatically. I don't used it for much more than internet browsing, email and porn though.

That's 99% of my intended use for it. Occasional basic word processing needs, but I've been told that lack of Microsoft office is not a barrier to updating my resume and whatnot on the rare occasions that I actually need to do something like that.

OpenOffice is free, I've used it for years and years after I got tired of paying for Office. There was a small learning curve but not much.
