The Dark Tower Is Happening

I never thought it would happen, but it actually is happening.

Idris Elba as Roland. Matthew McConauhey as Randall Flagg. I'm pretty nervous as this is one of my favorite book series of all time. This could be great, or as with a ton of Stephen King books, it could be complete shit.

Apparently, the movie takes place right after the final book ends (No spoilers).

I never read the third book. I really didn't think the first two were that good either. That's my #HotTake.

Funny you say that, I started on the third book, and then went back to the 1st two. The 1st two books deal with character building before crazy shit starts happening. I can see why you would think that. You could honestly call the 2nd book Roland and the Search For Penicillin. If I remember right the craziest thing that happens in the 1st two books is the Lobstrosities.

They have to cut like 80% out of the books to get this down to one movie.

I can see the movie being very good based on what you said. If they limit the first two books to about the first 12 minutes. The cast definitely has star power.

Matty Ice as the Man in Black is a fantastic casting.

I don't even care if the movie sucks. I have to see this.
