No NBA Playoff Game Until Saturday
Nice scheduling. I swear that when I was a kid, they played back-to-back nights in the playoffs and did not take 3-4 nights off between cities. That is all. Carry on.

It's garbage. They stretch their playoffs much longer than any other sport, even though they are the worst playoffs of all major sports.

Agree on the stretching. Disagree on the quality. The NBA regular season has went downhill. It's bad. But the playoffs are still intense and you see good defense.

It's good but it's not near as good as the NFL, MLB, and even the NHL. Just my opinion though.

They stretch it out just as long as the NHL does. Just sayin.SpartyHard wrote:It's garbage. They stretch their playoffs much longer than any other sport, even though they are the worst playoffs of all major sports.

I think this is something society has to realize..."everything" was better when you were a kid. Because you were a kid.

The NBA was better when was a kid. That I do know.
But you're right SpartyHard, it's just our own opinions. I would take NBA playoffs over NFL or MLB. The NHL playoffs are super intense and always fun to watch. It's not that I dislike football or baseball, but I love basketball first and foremost and still enjoy NBA playoffs.

Once they get to the conference finals the Stern's NBA has always catered the schedule to maximize TV exposure.

I would say hockey is a much more brutal sport like football, so more rest is required. Basketball is more like baseball where it can be played more often. That's probably the major difference and why people would be more annoyed at the NBA dragging out their playoff series.

I feel your vibe. I thoroughly enjoy the NHL playoff, and the MLB in October/November is entertaining. NFL is okay, but not as good as the first two I listed.
Watching the "Bad Boys" 30 for 30 with my father really showed me the golden age of the NBA. If it was anything close to that, I wouldn't be able turn the NBA playoffs off.

I think at this point we all know that its all based on TV, not on rest. I have no idea why they took a couple nights off here, but I would say that their schedule is way better than the NHL where you seemingly have 2 series on game 6 and 2 still on game 4 in the first round.Bill S. That said, both sports playoffs are way too long and need to be limited to 8 teams with maybe a couple play in games... Just because both feature completely irrelevant regular seasons.

Re: No NBA Playoff Game Until Saturday
This does suck. I was looking forward to Heat game tonight until I opened this.
Good chance I will be doing something more as a participant over the Holiday weekend. Then with the long breaks, nice weather and OKC being doggy doo it will be tough to maintain interest.
