Eggs, butter, vanilla, cornmeal, vinegar, sugar & milk

Looks sort of like a custard and many similar ingredients.

I am tempted. I always thought chess pie was like pecan pie without the pecans.

There are some similarities, I'd have to try it sometime to see if it was closer to Pecan or Custard. Here's an interesting list of pies from Mental Floss.
