What's worth noting is how the minutes for the starters have gone down from top-ten territory in the league last year. Even without Jackson this team has better depth. Morris 32.3 (35.7), Drummond 29.7 (32.9), Harris 31.7 (33.4) and KCP 32.3 (36.7). The team is going nine-deep without Reggie. Good to see......

Yes heathens yes! Bench has improved significantly. SVG appears to know what the hell he is doing. Liked the pick up of Leur(sp) and obviously Ish is playing well.

NBA would be better served starting their season Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Nobody pays attention to them until then anyway. Also they'd only have to compete with regular season MLB from early June until they finish up the third week of July right before NFL training camps open.

Good stuff, trav, good stuff. Watched a decent amount of them so far, I'm ballin on a budget at the moment so any night in is a positive.

Tobias and Morris are doing the scoring while Ish facilitates the offense pretty well. Drummond being Drummond, had a rough 2nd half tonight doe. Defense picked up finally in the 4th which sealed it. I LOVE NOT SEEING STEVE BLAKE OUT THERE! LOVE!!!

But it won’t happen unless center Andre Drummond is a consistently dominating force.

He wasn’t even close Wednesday night, when he sat for the final 16 minutes of a 109-101 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. He was completely outclassed by Brook Lopez, who went for 34 points and 10 rebounds.

Drummond’s stat line was six points and nine rebounds.

Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy rolled with Aron Baynes and Jon Leuer at center down the stretch.

“We gave him the first half and the first seven minutes in the second half, and he was just, in my opinion, bringing absolutely nothing to the game,” Van Gundy said. "I don’t know if he was tired or what the deal was, but he didn’t bring any energy to the game.”
