@SportsCenter: Mets P Jose Valverde blows a save, giving up 4 ER in 0.2 IP. Less than an hour later, he's released by the team.  

    Just came here to post it. Surprised it took the Mets this long.

I'm really not sure why I've been watching the tigers so closely this week. So depressing.

I know what you mean. The warm weather made me take more interest in baseball, and the Tigers fall apart. They're down 6 now, and if they don't come back, they'll have lost 6 of 7.

How bad is this shit gonna get? After today - unless some miracle happens - the Tigers will have lost 7 of 8. Are we looking at a 3-15 type situation here? Every single starting pitcher has eaten shit over this stretch, JV did it twice.

I think it's a combo of travel fatigue and playing good teams at the same time. The schedule makers did the Tigers no favors in late May.

The AL East must really suck.

O yeah, and when you see a team tack on an extra 3-4 runs in a game that has already been decided, you can tell Phil Coke got in without looking at the box score.
