Is Lawrence Tech getting a football program?

Lawrence Tech (NAIA – MI): Sources tell FootballScoop former Culver-Stockton head coach Jeff Duvendeck will become the first head coach of Lawrence Tech, a startup NAIA program in Michigan.

I searched around and did not find any announcements from the school about a new NAIA program. Would this be Michigan's only NAIA program? I really, really hope this is not true. This will be another nail in MSU's recruiting coffin.

I know that Lawrence tech built a football field six months ago along the lodge, so I'm gonna guess yes. For what purpose? I dunno prolly money

Davenport is joining the GLIAC in 2017-2018 and will be D2 for football. I think they may have been the only NAIA football team in the state.
