Saban tells Kiffin to take a hike

I don't think Saban likes distractions, and Kiffin was a small one last weekend.

Seems risky to me. Will Sarkisian be ready to take over playcalling already? I know Kiffin and Saban don't exactly get along but they weren't losing games. They couldn't stand to be around each other ONE more week?

It would seem to me that Saban talked to Kiffin and told him the level of focus he needed from him as they head into a national championship game undefeated. Kiffin couldn't match what was needed and Saban likely asked the question because he didn't like what he was seeing already. Somebody is running the Alabama program. Hint - his name is Saban and he's running the program by his rules.....

Saban exploded a couple of times on the sidelines during the game, so this doesn't surprise me.

I think Kiffin spent a little too much time being cute with the media leading up to the Peach Bowl.

What a bunch of fuck clowns.

Lets be honest, Saban has wanted Kiffin gone since day one.  He needed someone else and Sark just fell in his lap. I think the talking heads brought up some solid points about a true freshman who has only heard Kiffins voice during the game.

The 2nd time Kiffin literally missed the bus last week was probably Saban's last straw.  Kiffin told Saban he's be able to organize to make things work.

Saban wasn't going to give him a third chance.
