Pay all kinds of attention to the governor behind the curtain. Brainless heartless useless.

Five years ago, Kansas slashed income tax rates, eliminated income taxes entirely for many businesses, and enacted further income tax rate cuts to phase in several years into the future, aiming eventually to eliminate the income tax. Gov. Brownback called his efforts a “red state model” and claimed the tax cuts would act “like a shot of adrenaline into the heart of the Kansas economy.”

Well, maybe it's time to re think things.

Toto we can't follow the yellow brick road, but how about these shitty ones full of pot holes we can't fix because we have no revenue.

The sorry thing is Brownback and his squad of true believer' solution to the latest shortfall was to cut state monies for public K-12 education another $275-$285 per student.

Helluva it is had Brownback not used Kansas as a test tube for Dr. Laffer's economic theory the state would have had a budget surplus.

But in Washington there is a GOP majority itching to give Laffer's theory another try.

No pithy response from the resident connie fiscal experts.

Got to give Brownback credit. He's persistant.

A day after the Kansas Supreme Court said the state had to restore $800M to public K-12 education, Brownback muddies the water by proposing a charter school solution calling the court decision an opportunity to transform education in Kansas.

The court decision came down less than a mnth after Brownback and some Kansas Republicans solution to balance the budget was to cut state spending on education an additional $275 per student.

This is the America they want. And I"m going to guess many of us matriculated through public education or our parents did. So, now that we got ours, fuck these kids, and fuck the refugee kids too. Stop taking away from me.

Love what we're turning into.
