I don't fully understand why they don't make the four play in games all for 16 seeds. If I were in charge, it would be:

68 vs. 61 for the right to play #4 overall
67 vs. 62 to play #3 overall
66 vs. 63 to play #2 overall
65 vs. 64 to play #1 overall

I would guess that they use 11 seeds and whatever to try and get some better teams/bigger schools to help ratings for the first four. Maybe it has the intended effect, but I still don't like it.

I have Notre Dame in the Elite 8, Whisky over Nova in R32, and am still trying to figure out what 12 seed to pick. Everyone is on the MTSU bandwagon. Minny will be ready. Big underdogs that get a lot of hype normally don't pan out.

FSU isn't happy about playing FGSU. Rhode Island over Creighton, because. I have NV over ISU. Everyone talking about how good ND is, and how they got a bad seed, so that means they'll probably lose, but in the bracket I filled out I have them losing to gonzaga.

I like the URI, ND, and UM picks. Xavier lost their starting PG for the year a little while ago and fell of a cliff kind of after he went down. Would be pretty surprised to see them in the S16 considering they are an 11, but they always do well in the NCAAT.

Michigan State Spartans (19-14)
Very tough call. But I like Michigan State’s talent. In fact, I think Michigan State is better than most other 8 seeds. It’s just, MSU is going up against the second-best 8 seed in Miami. So I have the Spartans losing to the Canes. But here’s the deal: Tom Izzo’s group has a lot of talent, a flashing beast in Miles Bridges, and an emerging force in Nick Ward. Cassius Winston is the freshman point guard you don’t hear enough about. MSU is certainly tested enough for its region.
