Regardless of who is President or governor, the US auto business is cyclical.
Cars are lasting longer and as prices keep climbing fewer can buy new.

Why would I buy new, when I can buy something 3 years old with about 30k miles on it for about 1/3 the price? Then again I've never had a new car, and I prefer to buy over lease.GRR Spartan wrote:Regardless of who is President or governor, the US auto business is cyclical.

I buy 2-3 year old cars as well but that's not the point.
It's impossible for the world's auto suppliers to keep on building vehicles with increasing longevity and increasing prices and expectvto keep pace with historically high sales.
