While tSwill is bad, I do not think we have anything to do with the spread.

Western is unreal.

Watch where the spread moves from 7/7.5 until Thursday or so. Should give us a good indication of what the pros and books think.

Then again, Vegas has always hated on us, even when we were really good.

Serious Wags? I don't think so, I think the USC game gets the team's attention and they bring a great effort this week. D isn't Western's strong suit apparently, and I think our D is well ahead of our O right now. We're gonna play well next week. 30-17 MSU.

No I mean usually a spread gets inflated for a name team playing at home and the smart money goes to the underdog and Vegas happily shares with the sharps.  
But given Western and MSU's performances last season and last week I dont know if that spread could be small enough to stop the money from pouring in on Western.

I have heard the USC game was a fluke.  I didn't see it but you are talking on the road against #4.  I almost think Western should be favored

You are wrong. We do not have anything to do with the spread. We were not a factor in how that number was reached. MSU football was, but we were not.

How was the USC game a fluke? Through the half, western had them in total yardage first downs and time/possession.

MSU will cover.
USC players didn't take a MAC opponent seriously
(Look at the 2nd half stats)
USC had no video on Tim Lester's offense/defense
West coast road trip will take its toll.

Well, if I was coach D, and all you guys are lucky I'm not, I'd show the central film, I'd show clips of upsets and humiliations. Five minutes a day.

If the USC game didn't get their full attention maybe that will. The gaps in talent between teams all over is not large. 7 points is about right. They need to come ready to play.

MSU has film on the Tim Lester offense, USC didn't. I think MSU wins 35-24.

He has been a DII and DIII head coach (Saint Joseph's and Elmhurst), and spent a year as a IA OC (Syracuse). So USC probably had an idea of what WMU might do on offense.

Fleck recruited some decent players, so WMU is talented. USC probably just looked right past WMU and got caught flat footed.

But WMU is unreal. WMU 63 - MSU 7.
