Quit watching after the turnover on downs that would have made it 35-17(or 18). Painful to watch them so overly matched. Have to give ND credit, we made mistakes but they capitalized and played well on defense.

And Roci, calm down. In the big scheme of things this really doesn't matter.

I'm not emotionally invested this year because I don't expect big things out of the team this season. We're young, we're going to do young shit. If I thought we were a legit playoff contender Saturday's loss would've killed me but I think we're a 7-5 team and just took one of our five losses. Anyone who thinks that showing outrage over a loss and "demanding excellence" is anything other than a waste of your own personal time and energy is just straight up juvenile.

The year we won the Rosebowl I saw a lot of ugly reffing and also dumb ass play vs ND in South Bend. I don't think the ND game really is a good indicator of how the rest of the season will turn out.

Well according to Herbie, this game will have a direct effect on the season because of a fumble, even though ND games in the past have never really affected the team.

This seems like a year for a young team to grow up and learn how to win. It will beat some more teams, but it's also going to take some serious thumpin', too. Most important, though, is that it's becoming a team again. Next year could be fun. Not NC/playoffs fun, but fun.
