In Virginia you can legally operate a car with no insurance, you just have to pay a $500 fee every year....And there are people that fucking do it.

PS Make sure you have uninsured motorist insurance on your policy.

Nothing free about having to pay for care for their closed head injuries.

I can't understand why you would not wear a helmet, but honestly, wearing a 'brain bucket' probably only increases the possibility of surviving said brain trauma and associated medical costs. Without the helmet you're more likely to crush your coconut and become a good Samaritan organ donor.

Oh, and I never understood why Michigan insisted on No-fault, does any other state?

The no-fault thing happened so long ago that no one wants to admit that it was a failed mistake and the insurance lobby loves it so they make sure it will never change.

If the public knew why the MCCA charges what it does, per vehicle, there might be a much bigger movement to drop NF insurance. Instead, it takes our money and doesn't have to say a damn thing and news orgs have no legal right to the info. Total bullshit.

They claim that claims are increasing , but others have said that isn’t the case. According to the local news, they said there isn’t any transparency with this (surprise surprise). And that the no fault fund has 21 billion in it right now.
