Michigan State football set for Green-White spring game

EAST LANSING — Michigan State fans will get a glimpse of Spartan football soon.

MSU will play its annual Green-White spring game at 5 p.m. Saturday at Spartan Stadium. It’ll mark the Spartans’ first game action since their 42-17 win against Washington State in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego on Dec. 27.

Coach Mark Dantonio said like last year’s game it will be formatted offense vs. defense, which is different from the 2016 spring game, which players were assigned to a team draft style.

Sorry Pylon, it was your job to know that before starting one Willy nilly. It’s comments like that, that make me believe we need to establish a committee before next fall. Just a heads up, if you want to be considered, you’re going to have to do well with some independent tiger threads. I’ll go to bat for you, but these public mistakes have to stop.

Last spring, Michigan State entered its annual Green and White spring game with a number of new faces in new places and questions about who would be the key contributors (along with plenty of off-field uncertainty that was unresolved at the time).

This spring, the Spartans are coming off a 10-3 season that answered many of those concerns with the biggest turnaround in program history. And in doing so, they found much of their future.

EAST LANSING - The lights will be on early this year at Spartan Stadium.

Michigan State's annual spring game will kick off at 5 p.m. on Saturday as the Spartans give fans a preview of the 2018 team ahead of the season opener on Aug. 31 against Utah State.

Since beginning spring practice on Feb. 27, Michigan State has used 13 of its 15 allotted practices and the spring game will count as the 14th.

"There's going to be some good, some bad - there always is," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said this week. "What I look for is guys playing hard and playing with a lot of excitement and I think we'll do that."

Anyone know how to get BTN2go on Firestick? There is no app (that I saw). Downloaded the Silk browser then went to BTN. It might work but didnt give it a full go yet.
