What percentage of this guy's supporters do you think actually believe his crap? Realistically. I know Bob likes to repeat that we are a stupid country, and we are, but there has to be a good chunk (half?) of his supporters who know that he's lying and just don't care because they like his policies or like that it pisses off "the left" right?

So you've got one big pool of people who know he's generally full of shit but still support him because fuck Hilary, like his policies, etc and then another pool that just believes everything he says? I want to know how big that latter pool is.

yes, America is a stupid country. And a racist, bigoted misogynistic country.. and I suspect a significant amount of his supporters are, as well. They don't care about the country.. they only care that they can laugh at black/brown people, women and other minorities or under-represented segments of the population as progressives stand up for them.

it's the very thing that America is not.. but, as we've established, they really have a strong contempt for America. Hence the "Make America Great Again" slogan - what they really mean is "We Can't Allow Uppity Black People and Women Think They Have Equal Opportunity in My America"...

This is what the majority of Trump supporters believe in my opinion. They simply don't give a fuck as long as their team wins and it pisses of the libtards. Saw on ABC news tonight that yesterday in support of Trump, Fox was running a clip of Eagles kneeling. Turns out it wasn't during the anthem and it took Fox 24 hours to issue a retraction after they were outed.

Yeah, they were “praying”. This country right now. Smfh.

Obama got blasted for even suggesting police reform. Trump touts out some flag yadda remarks and we got a civil war on our hands. We deserve all of this.

NFL and Goodell should give Trump the middle finger. Our players, teams and coaches are steadfast in our support for the troops but we also recognize and support causes that are near and dear to our players hearts and support their rights to exercise their free speech and the platform they have earned by being the very best in the world at what they do. If the President wants to continue to strike discord and create divisions in our country by inaccurately painting our players as anti-military or unpatriotic he is free to do so. We have faith that our fans are smart enough to see through this fallacy and understand the true message. For every fan that decides to buy in to the rhetoric and division we are confident that we will gain a new fan who supports our players' freedom of speech and right to peacefully protest.

Realistically Goodell is beholden to the owners. They are his boss. They are the ones who care about appeasing Trump and his base of rednecks. Half of them are probably putting money into Trump's campaign funds. So the teams aren't going to give Trump the bird, and neither is the front office. The only entity that might be able to take a stand would be De Smith and the NFLPA.

That link I posted above about trump and the usfl is great the nfl owners had no problem giving trump the finger in the 80s. Trump also took a huge dump all over the usfl and a was a total failure. Not surprising most of his “success” involved either luck or a con.
