I'd say that it is like watching high school hockey when you're used to the NHL. Not even college hockey. The players are slower and the technical ability will be WAY lower than the World Cup (hell, the technical ability of the US National team is way below most in the World Cup, and these are college kids that will likely never sniff the US national team.). But while that also can mean that it is sloppier, that leads to mistakes, which can lead to excitement and opportunitites. And you'll have a rooting interest.
