wow - I mean, I always knew this guy was a piece of trash.. but I had almost forgotten just how truly horrible of a person he was.

also - I honestly didn't know Neil Reed had died - I remember him, I remember the choking incident, etc - but had no idea that he had passed away

While Knight is an asshole, I think coaching could still use more guys like him. Too many kids today need to be coddled.

well, I suspect you can teach 18 year olds to become men while instilling a sense of responsibility, accountability and to sacrifice yourself for the greater good of a team without physically assaulting and verbally abusing them.

I don't think any reasonable person would disagree with that.. I'm sure Izzo and Dantonio give some pretty good tongue lashings but I suspect they stop short of verbal abuse designed specifically to demean and denigrate players.

Remember when Bobby Knight showed a player toilet paper he had just used to wipe his ass and told the player this is how we are playing? He was a complete embarrassment.

Bobby Knight would want those kids to stay in school for years of his abuse. No way that number would be as high as it is if they played for Bobby Knight.

He's getting a cut of cash but so are the people that he's involved with. He must be doing something right because he's working with some of the biggest names to ever play the game. That's America.

I worry about Izzo. He doesn't get that crazy in Practice does he? Also, didn't realize what Neil Reid dealt with. Feel horrible for him. He seems like he put it together and experienced much love in California. That's cool. When they started talking about him in the past tense Iwas like "oh fuck". Seemed like a cool guy
