I'm gonna assume he seeks to protect any future or credibility in politics. lol

I want to spend time with my kids aka no thanks to the shit show

Trump pushed Ayers to commit to two years on the job, but he declined. He has young children, he told the President, and wants to move back to his home state of Georgia.

Ayers is 36 years old and wants a career for the next 6 or 7 Presidential election cycles.

He figured out tying his future to Trump isn't in his best interests.
