Can we remove parents who refuse to vaccinate their kids from the gene pool?

Anti vaxers are the worst.

I've probably said this before. My wife is baffled by the anti-vaxxer. She's seen a lot of this growing up. She is a nurse and she's from the Philippines. There was no talking about not getting our kids vaccinated. I wasn't going to push for it to not happen, but she is very firm about the kids getting all of their shots. She's seen what some of these diseases can do and can't believe people wouldn't get the vaccination.

No way am me or my family getting injected with your poison.

I was agreeing with the Op. It would be nice to separate the population of the uneducated antivax from vaccinated folks. They put too many at risk by their stupidity, which could easily kill a child that cannot be vaccinated due to an illness.

What’s your point? Everything that enters your body can kill you . The difference is science . You have as much research as possible to prevent a serious thing from happening to everyone as much as possible.

This is a really sore subject for me.
On one hand I have a relative working in the ER that sees these horribly sick kids, and yes, some die or are damaged for life, from totally preventable diseases.
He has to suppress the urge to throttle the parents.
On the other, I have a relative that has a 15 year old, never vaccinated kid. The parents have moved cross country to avoid forced immunization.
I only hope the kid remains lucky enough to last until he can take matters into his own hands.

People who start forest fires are prosecuted and made to pay restitution. If an anti-vaxxer whackjob’s kid spreads their illness, infecting the most vulnerable, the parents should be held accountable by law. Prison seems right for causing the death of a baby or senior citizen.

My youngest sibling lives in Silicon Valley. About 10 years ago the Earth Mother movement was going strong until a measles outbreak. This was a group of college educated women and men buying into the TV medicine.

Don't think living in MI is better than living in Southern Oregon. Grand Traverse County has a significant number of anti-vaxers and its only a matter of time when their children get infected.
