It's all a waste of time

I've come to that conclusion. Discussing any of this shit is just a waste of time, an exercise in futility and frustration. No one is changing their mind. On either side. Gotta get the people out to vote. I'm disconnecting again personally. If you're not changing anyone's mind, it's all about your own sanity and this shit is not good for anyone's sanity - to sit there and get irritated or outraged at the shit this buffoon and his followers do. I'm gonna hope it runs its course, and if it doesn't, maybe move to Fiji.

Talking about things in fact is good for some people’s sanity wbh and I think you shouldn’t project on other people that what is good for you is good for them.

Maybe rather than trying to change minds we should simply be trying to build empathy and understanding between people with divergent ideas about guns. Empathy and mutual respect go a long way to getting things done, but both are largely missing from society. Oh well. Also, I hate poster Pylon. I mean I really think he is bad. So bad.

Maybe it helps some people to have those conversations. It doesn't help me. I don't need to convince anyone of anything, and I have gotten the bottom line rationalization from some very rational people. But at the end of the day I find it very disheartening and depressing.
