yeah, he or she is 1000000% liable for those accidents (and, given that this is Detroit area, there's about a 70% chance the white car wasn't insured). i just don't know the legalities regarding whether you're supposed to stay or not. obviously you should from a moral perspective, but that's irrelevant.

depending on how hurt any of those other drivers/passengers were (it's a high bar), that reckless charge could be a felony.

Not sure about the felony. There’s going to be some fault placed on the truck drivers, as a claim could easily be made they were not driving as weather conditions warranted. At least, that’s how the law is on the books in GreenWayLand.
