Just got into a family argument over this. I'm dumbfounded that wife, a teacher, took the position that she did.

But imma say one, but many people give it a second syllable.

I'm on board with one. You can't have a syllable without an audible vowel (or can you?), and the "e" is silent anyway you slice it, just as it is with thousands of other words.

Kyle was picked by a non profit that gives kids with special needs a wish with a college sports team. No it's not MSU, unfortunately. It is UM, but not the shitty um. The wish is to play basketball, we will find out Saturday if it's the men's or women's team. I think he'll be introduced before a game as one of the players.

To answer the original question - the number of syllables in Kyle depends on how you choose to pronounce it.  It is a name - there is no one correct way to pronounce it except on an individual level.

Congrats to Kyle, how ever he chooses to pronounce it.  It does make my day a bit brighter.

Kyle met the dream team. Bowling was a blast. It will be something worth the men's basketball team. Sometime in January/ Feb. How do I get Izzo involved?

On Friday around noon, the director will show up to our house with a limo. Myself, tWifey and tDaughter will hop in and head to Kyle's school. The UM (Univ of Miami from now on) dance or cheerleaders will be at the school, maybe some athlete's, I'm not sure, but everyone is there to give Kyle a send off. From there we will go to the Canes Mens BBall practice that evening. I'm sure Kyle will have a blast, after the practice we go to his favorite restaurant....McDonald's. We will be put up in a hotel and we were told that all food service is on them, which I will take advantage of because I don't want McDonalds. On Saturday we will have breakfast, then go off to the game on Saturday. We will have good seats and Kyle will be featured somehow at half time. After teh game we will do stuff, I dunno, something on the court. Later that night they will take all of us (25 athletes and us) to Top Golf. There is a lot they left out. We were told that Kyle is going to get a lot of gifts. I dunno, but I'll post as much as I can at some point. Anyway Kyle is going to have a great time and I'm going to make sure my daughter has a blast.

I just saw that the game is going to be on ESPN. Miami vs V. Tech starts at noon eastern. I think last time Kyle made TV Nigel got a screenshot. I don't know if we'll be on, but I'll post if we'll be sitting courtside or where we'll be sitting tomorrow night.

We will be about 3-5 rows behind the bench. Kyle will be on the floor during the first media timeout.
