Actually, I suppose it is probably some anti-government types that see it as a protest flag, but ultimately they have to be racist to fly that, even if they're displaced southerners.

If it had anything to do with "heritage" the fuckers would know the Michigan 3rd regiment (from near St. Johns) was the group that brought down Jefferson Davis....

It’s a symbol. My short list of places I remember seeing it recently is Charlottesville, today, and tea party rallies.

Yep, yesterday’s hate rally had a lot in common with Charlottesville. There probably would have been counter protestors there but the good news is any one that opposes those knuckle draggers is too smart to gather in groups during a pandemic.

I'd be willing to bet that the racist fuck that lives just down the road from me in St Johns and flies that flag 24/7/365 has no clue that the Michigan 3rd Regiment is from St Johns. He probably knows nothing about Jefferson Davis either.
