Last night Bull Durham was on tv and I thought 'wow I've seen this a fuck ton of times and since it's made for tv it won't have any of the sex scenes'.

I was living in Asheville when they filmed part of Bull Durham there. The local radio station was advertising for folks to come to "Historic McCormick Park" for the filming of a movie. They wanted to make the stadium seem full, etc.

Me and my friends were like "meh.. probably some film studies chick with hairy armpits working on a hippie-indie project about why we shouldn't eat cheeseburgers" and decided not to fool around with it. Turns out it was Bull Durham and the scene where Crash hit his minor league record HR.

in retrospect, it would've been cool.
