Thankfully Barr is willing to defend our civil liberties from tyrannical governors
But he's not so much willing to defend those liberties from congressional Republicans or himself. I am old enough to remember when he tried to sell Congress on the idea of indefinite detentions during national emergencies. Now I realize this is not as scary as not being able to go to Jobbie Nooner on your boat, but still...

Hey folks, an attempt to block the federal government from being able to gather your internet search and browsing history without a warrant failed by one vote in the Senate.
Four senators did not vote. Only one was actually in quarantine so the other three could have voted but opted not to.
Lamar Alexander (quarantining)
Patty Murray
Ben Sasse
Bernie Sanders
Seven Democrats also voted against the measure. But I know what's most important right now is to show how your rights have been taken from you by freely parading around state capitols with guns.
