Wall Mount - 65inch TV
What do y'all know about TV wall mounts? There's a shit ton on Amazon with solid reviews but fake reviews. Haven't bought one before - what should I know? Get the full motion ones? Just for a bedroom.
Thank you swill.

I hired a pro to install ours. They guarantee it and brought their own wall mount. Couldn't tell you what mount they used.

Why don't you go take a look at it, Steve. Maybe try to help him out. Geez.

Just duct tape it up there. It'll hold if you use enough.

Re: Wall Mount - 65inch TV
Make sure you get the appropriate fasteners (wood studs v metal v concrete/brick). Also, I believe running the power cord behind the wall is not up to code (but I did it anyway...twice). You're supposed to have an outlet behind the TV.
I bought this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012S4APK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That was at my old place before we moved. I now have it up on a stand.

I've got a full motion one and it's pretty much a waste. I don't think I've ever adjusted the viewing angle, other than to connect cables. I also think it would look better without it sticking out from the wall.

Then go back to your old place, Steve. Or find the receipt. Wait, did you leave it on the wall? Maybe it's in your storage unit. Steve, OTPT is waiting. No wonder my grandma thinks your annoying.

Re: Wall Mount - 65inch TV
I'd get the 4eITbV Wall Mount from EchoVisionHD - they use a carbon fiber alloy with a military grade fastener. You'll need to make sure the walls are reinforced with steel beam (preferably 4g high quality grade) while using the 67cU i45e autogig adapter. The swivel arm requires a 270 degree rotational socket commensurate with NASA specifications for their iY78b whirlygadgets.Other Teams Pursuing That wrote:What do y'all know about TV wall mounts? Re: Wall Mount - 65inch TV
Probably only need a tilting one - but depends on the room/stud setup if you wanted the full motion ones
Only ever bought from monoprice back in the day - would just get highest rated legit looking one on amazon now though so something like
https://www.amazon.com/Mounting-Dream-600x400mm-Capacity-MD2268-LK/dp/B00NKYYMAW
then probably add something like this and paint to match the wall
https://www.amazon.com/Raceways-cover-157in-Channel-Molding-Paintable/dp/B083HS561J/

In our bedroom I just put ours on the dresser. I do have a couple on wall mounts but decided against the full motion because do I really need or want to be moving it regularly—no. It was a good decision because I’ve never thought about adjusting any of them.

It’s just too bad your Russian bride isn’t full range of motion, either.

I wish you would adjust that bedroom TV. Just angle it a little more to the right so it is easier to see from outside the window.

If the viewing angle is good, go for a flat with a little up and down tilt, they're pretty simple things and hard to go wrong with whatever you buy.
If you want the Steve Carell version, make sure you can hit at least one stud

Re: Wall Mount - 65inch TV
We bought a Sanus full motion to mount our 75. Got it cheap af from Target on Black Friday. I agree with Jake from State Farm that the full motion is pointless because with a tv that big you never really have to angle it anyway. We mounted it ourselves and it looks great though. Only took a couple hours total. The bracket is spaced out so you can put all the screws in studs. Make sure you do that.

No. You want full motion in the bedroom as often as possible.

Re: Wall Mount - 65inch TV
I got ours from Costco. Tilting is probably the only one you need. I do have a full range and a tilting one. The full range, I do occasionally pull out if I'm in the pool and trying to watch a game, otherwise it sits there. I installed a couple of times, and once had it installed (same mount, but TV package included mounting). I found it hilarious when they checked to see if it was level, as it only takes barely touching it, or moving it out to unlevel it.

Here's what I know about TV wall mounts. 1st step, buy a house with the mount already installed and then mount wife in said house. Check. 2nd, mount tv then wife. Check. 3rd, ??? and then mount wife???. 4th, profit -> mount wife. Check.
