BTW you can buy a Bunyan at Rivarly Trophy. Started and owned by two Spartans. At least one has posted here in the past.

Re: Paul Bunyan is home
40 years ago last September I walked on the beautiful campus. 4 west Holmes.
My 40th anniversary as a Spartan
I’m 15-25 all time as a Spartan against those bastards. Notable games:
1987 Michigan cant stop throwing interceptions at Spartan Stadium we win on our way to the Rosebowl
1990 No. one vs no one. Up yours big hole
1997: Charles Woodson.
1999: Lloyd Carr keeps one of the all time greats on the bench in lieu of starting and playing the Minor league Yankees third basemen. Two teams were 6-0. We were 7-0 after.
2001 Smoker to Duckett
2004 JLS gets wrecked in three overtime’s
2007 little brother game but more important,”It’s not over, it will never be over”
2008 Dantonio backs it up and breaks his foot off in their ass
2015: fuck you Jim why did you send six guys after a punt?
2017: my last time I’ll ever be in that piece of shit stadium. My memory is seeing my daughter on the field on the shoulder of players posing with Paulie B. Never walking in there again.
2020: Say hello to our little skull fucker.

Every MSU victory is. I didn’t mean to short change any. It really was a blood bath. Also left off the stake game where Dantonio actually shoved it up their ass.

95 was a special memory for me. Freshman year.
Also 2009. Left from Beaumont hospital after the 2 day wellness check for my first born. Barely got there in time for kickoff. No tailgate, no friends, I bought a single somewhere. Watched it by myself in the North end zone. Larry Caper yay. Drove back home to see my wife and newborn.

Re: Paul Bunyan is home
I received my acceptance to MSU the day of the 1990 win.
By my junior year, I vowed that I wouldn't graduate until we beat either UM or ND. So they responded in 93.
95 is probably my favorite game as a student.
2013 is probably my favorite UM game overall. Others had more drama, of course, but I can rewatch 2013 over and over again. I love defense. Absolute physical and mental domination in that game. -48 yards rushing. Gardner completely broken, and puking on the sidelines from being hit so much.

Ditto, 2013 is my favorite. Being in the stands that day was pure joy. The beating Devin Gardner took was absurd. There was an image of him on all fours spitting blood at one point. I give him credit for being a tough SOB.

The game in the Big Empty Hole really revitalized me about college football - I'm gonna remember that one for a loooooong time
And by the way - Paul is still at home in East Lansing.....all is still good in the world (except for all the shitty stuff)

I think this is a big week, needing a win to not have an overall shitty season; but it still can't be the shittiest of season because you know what?

And although Paul is where he belongs, I hope this isn't the year that sports highlights are beating Michigan and Duke (though it is great to get those wins; but those are not very good teams, so I'm not sure how much it really means)
Go Green
